JACQUELINE TAYLOR - O’GILVIE
Here is a woman of faith, class, and love. Born and raised in Kingston, Jamaica, she knew from adolescence that her ultimate dream is giving back to society.
Jacqueline is married to Rev. Sylvester O'Gilvie with whom she shares four beautiful children. Her professional journey began as a private school educator, where she honed her skills and passion for nurturing young minds. For eighteen (18) years, along with her husband, she co-orchestrated the success of the Undergrad Group of Schools – steering it to become one of Jamaica’s prominent private educational institutions. As the Director of Human Resource, Finance & Plant; and Dean of Discipline, she led and managed the academic and administration staff, whilst overseeing all aspects of school operation, with vision and tenacity.
Beyond the classroom, she is a dynamic force in community development. She and her husband have initiated numerous successful partnerships with stakeholders, including Cambridge University, and the Ministries of National Security, and of Education- paving the way for educational advancement and social empowerment.
Her commitment to social service is demonstrated through her active community projects such as Back to School, Christmas Food-care Packages; Painting and Renovating Schools and Markets; providing Sports Resource and Equipment in the inner city and outer communities at large; in St Andrew, Jamaica, and beyond.
Jacqueline Taylor-O'Gilvie is a living testament to the profound impact one individual can have- when driven by love, compassion, and steadfast commitment to serving others, thus building and ensuring a brighter future for all.
Message from the Desk of Jacqueline Taylor-O'Gilvie
In the JTO Foundation I am realizing one of my dearest childhood dreams. I thank God for putting this idea into my heart, and then bringing it to fruition.
Love is the driving force that motivates me to create the JTO Foundation. The Bible admonishes us to "Love our neighbour as ourselves". Helping people- especially those genuinely in need- is my passion; my greatest feeling of pleasure and satisfaction.
I feel privileged, chosen & blessed to be given this opportunity to serve. Deep within me I see JTO as: "Jesus T aking Over".
Sincerely,
Jacqueline Taylor - O'Gilvie
